I hope he is sincere about his space policy. I have read a couple of articles that states Obama wants to abandon the ARES program and use the Delta IV and Atlas V rockets for manned spaceflight. Apparently, he doesn’t completely understand what all is required to make a rocket “manned” ready. Also his plan for robotics will cut even more jobs in the future of the space program. We need to utilize robots for the beginning, as is happening now with Mars, but any future flights and to perform any real data gathering missions requires humans to be onsite and making the real-time decisions…… I hope Obama is able to pull this country around, I just feel he may have bitten off more than he can chew so to say……

You should include who OWNS the idea of “mars in 2035″ that the republicans try to claim.

here is what JFK said in Dec. of 1962, reporting on where he thought America and the democrats where heading.

The Nerva program, voters should not be allowed to forget that the democrats have always been the forward thinking progressive, “star trek” generation.
